Singapore's Financial Literacy Bootcamp for Kids

Learn About Money, The Fun Way

Money is easier to understand when kids can play with the ideas. MoneyKids uses games, simulations and hands-on challenges to introduce children to earning, saving, investing, spending and making thoughtful money decisions.

What is financial literacy for kids?

Β It is how children learn how money works and to practice thoughtful choices about earning, saving, spending, growing and giving, in ways they can understand.

Making Money Easier to Understand

Money can be easier to understand when kids get to experience it for themselves. Through interactive games and simulations, children explore how different their actions on money can affect what happens next. What they’ll learn in this program:

πŸ’°

Earn, Save & Grow Money

Children explore different ways people earn money and why saving is important before looking at ways money can grow.

🌏

Discover Money & Currencies

Kids learn how money has evolved and compare different currencies through activities that make the ideas easier to remember.

πŸ“ˆ

Explore Investing

Age-appropriate simulations introduce the idea of investing and show why choices about money can involve different outcomes.

🧠

Practise Money Decisions

Games give children opportunities to weigh choices around spending, saving, loans and business financing.

🀝

Learn About Giving Back

Children discuss why businesses and individuals may give back to their communities and how social responsibility fits into money decisions.

πŸ”Ž

Try Research & Negotiation

Collaborative challenges introduce market research and negotiation as part of making informed choices.

Why Should Children Learn Financial Literacy?

Learning money literacy early gives children a major advantage in life. It builds healthy money habits like budgeting and telling needs from wants, which lead to independence and less stress later in life.

Because many schools spend little time on these skills, learning them now means they won’t have to figure them out through expensive trial and error as an adult.

Money Education Beyond the Classroom

Schools cover many important subjects, while everyday money decisions can be harder to practise in a classroom setting. MoneyKids creates a space where children can explore money and business concepts through play.

Game masters and lead trainers bring experience as investors and entrepreneurs into the activities, combining practical stories with the curiosity and energy of childhood learning.

Learning happens through experience. Children can ask, experiment, collaborate and make decisions inside a safe story simulation.

Commonly Asked Questions

What is the MoneyKids Financial Literacy Bootcamp?

It’s a play-based money programme for kids aged 7 to 12. Instead of sitting through lessons, children play games and simulations where they earn, save, invest and borrow, then talk through what happened with our trainers.

Kids deal with money long before anyone formally teaches them, through pocket money, red packets and things they ask you to buy. Learning early gives them a chance to make small mistakes now, when they cost very little.

Children aged 7 to 12. The games and examples are pitched at that range, so a 7-year-old and an 11-year-old can both follow along.

No. Kids start from the basics, like how money came about and why different countries use different currencies, and build up to ideas like investing and loans from there

The programme covers the evolution of money, different currencies (even the concept of cypto!), ways to earn and grow money, healthy money habits, investing, giving back, financial freedom, loans and business financing, and market research and negotiation. Each topic is tied to a game or hands-on activity.

Kids make a decision, see the result straight away and then discuss it. When a child has invested play money and watched it rise or fall, “risk” stops being a vocabulary word. The trainer then connects what happened to how money works in daily life.

Our game masters and lead trainers are investors themselves. They bring their own entrepreneurship experience into the games and explain concepts in plain language that children can easily follow.

Not quite. Some schools may skip topics like investing, loans and negotiation, so the bootcamp fills that gap. It’s meant to sit alongside school, not replace anything.

We can’t promise outcomes like that. What we do is build knowledge, confidence and curiosity about money, and those grow faster when parents keep the conversation going at home.Β
